Policy

  • Enforce route dampening
    • Flapping duration exceeds 5 minutes and total flap count exceeds 5000
    • Total flap count exceeds 5000 even if duration is less than 5 minutes
    • Flapping duration exceeds 5 minutes with fewer than 5000 flaps, but average rate > 2
    • For penalized routes, if the route maintains a stability condition where in every minute of a continuous 1-hour period, the flap count remains below 30, it will be unmarked and accepted again.
